On 29 June 2023, the European Commission published the new Machinery Regulation 2023/1230. This regulation replaces the Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC). The Machinery Regulation lays down the requirements and conformity assessment procedures that machinery have to fulfil before they are allowed to be sold or used in the European Union market.
